I have a wonderful book by Caitlin Matthews called "The Celtic Spirit - Daily meditations for the Turning Year". This book is truly inspirational and is packed full of guided meditation through storytelling and looking at life through Ancient lives in the Celtic world. There are tasks for the reader at the end of each reading such as prayers to make or a piece of prose.
The Celtic world can bring us much wisdom for this age, their Ancient teachings are as relevant today as they've always been. They allow us to see the world through the eyes of innocence and wisdom and help to guide us to enlightenment! The Innocence of the Celtic world beneath the Goddess and the Lord Green Man was beautiful. It truly is a world free of the hang-ups of the world as we know it today. As we learn of their Wisdom we free our minds of restraint and find peace! We are guided to new ways of approaching life and learn of how to be gentle to the Earth.
I hope you too find the opportunity to look deep within to your Celtic heart and find inspiration from the tales of the Celtic heroes and heroines. Who could be more inspiring to womankind than Queen Boadicea leading Her people to victory over their invaders? Or the large number of male warriors and learned man who are spoken of in Celtic legends.
Caitlin Matthews and John Matthews have written many books on Celtic teachings and some research into the best book for yourself is needed. The one I mentioned above is a brilliant beginning for anyone wishing to learn a little more about this Celtic world.
Blessings of the Goddess be with you!

Merry Meet and may you all find wisdom here!
Merry Meet Again and welcome to my pages! Written with the heart of a priestess of the Goddess trained in some part on the Isle of Avalon many moons ago!! My pagan name is Soleil Dragonflight, where Soleil represents the french word for Sun. I am a Leo and my personal planet is the Sun. Also I spent a year of my life in France when I was much younger and became fluent(ish!!!) in the French language.
This was the beginnings of my Wiccan path as I had found a great book called "The Green Witch" in a little New Age store in London. I read it while in France and so began my path! How life evolved from then on!!!
A few years later after the birth of my daughter, Avalon, I journeyed to the Isle in Our Ancient Land to train as a priestess on a course called "In the Heart of the Goddess". Due to unforseen circumstances I missed the last two Sabbats of the course on the Isle. However I practised my rituals where I was and at Autumn Equinox I journeyed to the Isle in dream with the Ancient Morgens, the holy priestess' of protection of the Isle, and Merlin's dragon. Some experience!!! I was initiated into the Ancient Rites and have kept to my vows to the Goddess ever since. I live in Berkshire in a little village/town called Thatcham. It is otherwise known as Middle Earth as it the origins of the setting for J.R.R Tolkein's stories of Hobbitland.
I have studied at the Magical Circle School online which is based in America but teaches internationally. I became a teacher there for a short while, covering for other teachers while they were away for holidays and on a course I was given to teach after studying it, called "Chromotherapy." This is about the realm of Colour in our magical lives and helps us bring colour into our world! Since leaving the School I have gone on to practice Wicca in my daily life using the knowledge of Candle Magic and Ritual, I learnt from the school. I found their teachings vital to my wiccan path and will always be grateful to all my teachers there and to my teacher and HeadMistress of the School, Colleen for giving me the opportunity to teach.
Nowadays I spend my time practicing magic and writing blogs on all kinds of subjects!! This is my first blog devoted to Wicca so I hope my magical knowledge will improve as I go!!! After all we all grow like a tree as we put down our roots!
Wishing you all many blessings this Yuletide! Peace and goodwill to all mankind! May we all clothe ourselves in compassion! I read this in a teaching of Jesus Christ and at the School I studied Christian Wicca, which involves invoking Saints for your Ritual work. I worked solely with the female Saints however you could equally work with the male Saints if you so wish!
Merry Part and may you return real soon!
Amen, Blessed be!
